Talk and Mini Fashion Show

So I haven't been able to write much lately. This is what I dislike in keeping a blog. Sometimes, I just get lazy to put everything into writing. I'm lazy because I'm busy with so many other things. This week, in particular, proves exactly that.

My week began with the end of the contest I failed to talk about here. I already have the winner so it is pretty pointless to discuss about the contest. Anyway, you do see the banner which includes the mechanics and yes, the prize: a custom dress set made by me.
For those who are not aware, hosting popularity contests for Facebook pages is the in thing in the Philippines. It is the fastest and most effective way to earn a thousand likes for your page. So why did I need to do a contest? The basic and most obvious of all answers is that I did want to gain more likes. The underlying reason, however, is that I really wanted to be known in our country before I leave for the USA. It just matters to me that dolldelight becomes known as a label made in the Philippines. That is also why I restricted the contest to my local audience.

Fortunately, hosting a contest and giving away a dress set did pay off. Just after the contest, Dakie Segura of the Art Society invited me to do a talk for the students of St. Scholastica College on the 22nd of February. A mini fashion show and photoshoot would follow afterwards. While I am currently contemplating on what I would be discussing on that day, I've decided to get my previous clients to model for me instead of making new dresses. I would love to be able to make new pieces but I don't think time would allow that. If ever though, I might make a couple of new ones.

So yes, expect me to post a little or even nothing until I finish all these other appointments.
